Sound of Passion

Poetry about Love and Passion

Elegance.
I see it in your face.
It glows from your eyes.
I don’t say it as much as I should, love,
I don’t know the reason why.

You still take my breathe away
every time our eyes meet.
You are the definition of elegance
and the passion that makes my heart beat.

Holiday Mashup Blogmas Contest Christmas Poetry

2

Poetry about Christmas, Faith, and Love for the Blogmas Contest.

Dark chocolate simmering on the stoves.
White snowflakes painting the trees.
Colored lights wrapping around the windows.
A child savoir born to make man and woman free.

And you hear the old hymns coming from a manger;
the long desire of a traveling stranger:

“Your Spirit, One touch.
Panacea.
Your voice, I heard.
Panacea.
My faith, You Lit.
Panacea.
My Heart, Your Love.
Panacea.”

And as the night slowly drifts away.
You’re awakened by the cares of the day:

I’m so broke, it’s not even funny.
I can’t afford the weather when it’s sunny.
My pockets have holes – they’re leaking all of my money
and I still have to buy a gift for my hunny!

But still, it’s Christmas and I remember:

The money comes and goes.
Presents, I’ll forget.
But we’ll build bridges to our hearts, love,
and that’s as good as it gets.

Merry Christmas Everyone! I’ll end with a quote from one of the most memorable Christmas movies!

“No man is a failure who has friends.”
[Mark Twain, and also] Clarence, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

This poem is actually a combination of three of my favorite poems that I’ve written over the past couple months.

It was submitted to KaylaAnn’s Blogmas Contest. Be sure to check it out and maybe even join!

The three pieces of poetry that used in the Holiday Mashup for the contest are:

Bound and Buried

6

Poetry about Love and Relationships.

I’m falling into you.
There’s nothing left to do.
I’m falling into you.

Walls are falling down.
Feet settling on the ground.
Heart starting to slowly pound.
Love, do you hear that sound?

I’m falling into you.
There’s nothing left to do.
I’m falling into you.

Relationships
can sometimes be so scary.
Past pains bind your hands
and leave your heart buried.

I’m falling into you.
There’s nothing left to do.
I’m falling into you.

What She Likes

0

Poetry about Love and Writing.

Sittin’ by the lake, I saw my pretty girl.
She was preoccupied, I needed to shake her world.
I can make her love me writing a cute Haiku,
I’m gonna make her love me with a sweet Senryu!

Roses are red, violets are blue.
Check “yes” or “no” if you like me, too.
I may not be the coolest guy in town,
but if I write her a song she’ll always come around.

Poetry is my secret weapon.
Cheesy loves lines, we’re in seventh heaven.
There is no question, this lover boy’s got it on good,
She’ll melt with my ballads just like I new she would.

Roses are Red, Violets are blue.
Check “yes” or “no” if you like me too.
If there was one thing that she likes from me,
she likes when I write her poetry.

Mine

Poetry about Love and Relationships

I know you’ve had troubles, I know you’ve had pain
But I want you to let it go, love, cuz’ that was yesterday.
God’s given you a new day, God’s given you me.
And Baby, I promise I will never let you go.

Step by Step, I’ll hold you hand.
Walking the walk, I’ll be your man.
So be my girl, cuz’ you’re my desire.
Cuz’ you’re the only one who lights my fire.

I want to give you joy, everyday of your life.
I wanna spoil you, even though spoiling isn’t right.
I want you to rest, you don’t have to worry.
Just lay your heart in God’s hands, never give up the relationship too early.

Why can we be so bold? Cuz God’s brought us together.
We can walk through anything, we shine through any weather.

Step by Step, I’ll hold you hand.
Walking the walk, I’ll be your man.
So be my girl, cuz’ you’re my desire.
Cuz’ you’re the only one who lights my fire.

Bridges at Christmas

Poetry about Christmas and Love

Christmas trees in windows.
Hot cocoa on the stoves.
Little snowflakes painting the trees.
It’s Christmas.

I’m wrapping up your present.
It’s going underneath the tree.
I spent so much time thinking of it.
I spent every penny.

Walking through a winter wonderland.
It’s cold, so I grabbed your hand.
Passed by Jesus in a manger.
My spirit feels free.
Ya, it’s Christmas.

The money comes and goes.
Presents, I’ll forget.
But we’ll build bridges to our hearts, love,
and that’s as good as it gets.

Sparkled Eyes

8

Poetry about Eyes and Love.

You put a Sparkle in my eye.
I stared as you were walking by.
Time seemed to pause for a moment.
My single life gave its last lament.
I knew you’d be mine.

You didn’t try to fight it
because you never saw it coming.
I had an eye for you, love.
You would be slowly succumbing.

And when our eyes met,
I could feel you in my arms.
But no, you weren’t there yet.
As I watched from afar.

Fighting for Love

8

Poetry about love and commitment.

My love, we’re having so much fun.
Laughing, flirting, I’m the one.
No truer symbol of love.
You must have come down from above.

Look out! One word.
Our love is crashing.
Guard your heart,
emotions slashing.
Putting our fighting gloves on.
What in the world has gone wrong?

But we talk. Then, silence.
Talk some more.
I guess relationships aren’t
such a bore.
We’re at a crossroads here.
We didn’t run, no, we worked it out and faced our fear.

Now we’re laying by the fire,
listening to our favorite Christmas melodies.
Love isn’t the absence of problems,
but the willingness to fight for you and me.

I’m gonna write you a love song.
It might sound like we’re fighting,
like everything’s riding
on the tension in the air.

I’m gonna sing you a love song.
No, our love isn’t dying.
We’re just trying
to figure it out.
We’ll make our commitment count.
