Knit Up My Heart

Poetry about the funny truth of a grown man crying like a baby, sometimes.

Knit, knit,
Knit up my heart.
Sow it up
before it falls apart.
I’m just a sad man,
I’m a full grown baby.
I need to be cottled
crying in the arms of my lady.

Cheeks red,
eyes swelled,
shirt soaked
from being held.

I’m almost six feet tall,
but I can still roll up in a ball,
and cuddle like your little
puppy doll. It’s funny!

Somebody grab me a tissue!
