Seasons of Change

This letter is to let you know
that I finally came back home.
The air is much colder than it
used to be.

Everything looks so foreign,
The clock says five but it’s already dark.
I’m sitting at the table and
dinner will just be me.

There’s seasons of change,
and change is in the air tonight.

Time slowly passed by.
Snow melted and trees budded.
I could feel the morning sun
as it shined through my bedroom window.

The alarm rang out at five.
I turned at looked at my new wife.
I whispered in her ear and said
we’ve got so much to live for.

There’s seasons of change,
and change is in the air tonight.
