Winter

I’m looking out the window.
It gets dark around five now.
Snow shining in the light
against a curtain of night.

The season’s over,
it’s dark and sober,
and I feeling so enlightened.

The sun was shining when I left home.
Now the wind blows ice through my bones.
Even though I’m blinded by a world of night,
street lights make falling snow shine bright.

The season’s over,
it’s dark and sober,
and I feeling so enlightened.

After Winter comes Spring.
New life from the light it brings.

Enlighten
